Furry Miracles
She crouched in front of the puppies and started counting, saying "one... two... three... and four." She grinned as she glanced at him. "Yeah. So four miracles... make four wishes," she said as she rose up.
"Hmm... let me think" he said, rubbing his chin.
"But you saw the puppies first; don't you get to make half of the wishes?" Curious, he asked her.
With her hands clasped behind her back, she turned to face him and smiled as she glanced at his handsome face. "It's not about who saw the puppies first," she said, shrugging. "It's about who's willing to consider them miracles—cute furry balls of miracles," she added, pouting as she looked at them.
"So, what do you wish for?" She asked eagerly, giggling as they continued their walk.
"Sabr karo...be patient. Let me think," he said, smirking.
"Okay," she sighed.
He paused for a moment, looked at her, and said, "I wish I could do walks like this with you for the rest of our lives."
"Anha., Sweet. How about the second wish? " She asked, cocking her head to one side.
"I would wish for you to have..." He said, grinning.
"You would wish for me to have?" she gave him a curious glance. "Tell naah.. what would you wish for me to have?" She persisted in enthusiastically.
"I'd wish for you to have an adequate amount of brain matter in your currently half-empty cranial vault," he burst out laughing.
Gasping in disbelief, she exclaimed, "JERK!" She scowled and said, "I'm leaving," trying to move away from him, but he grabbed her by her arm and drew her in. Her lips, just inches away from his.
He planted a soft kiss on her lips and said, "I'd wish for you to be my wife." He continued, "In this life...," pausing to kiss her once more, "and the hereafter."
"And all the nine lives as well? If we were to be reborn as cats?" She asked with a bashful look on her face.
"Yes," he said, nodding, "even in all the nine lives."
"And my final wish would be, " He said as he took both her hands in his, "I'd want us to be together always." He went on, gently kissing each of her hands "in sickness and health...all our lives...and in death."
He then wrapped her in his arms and tucked a lock of hair behind her ear. "I would never want even death to separate us. We live together. We die together " he whispered, caressing her delicate lips with his thumb.
She gazed into his dreamy eyes, feeling his breath against her lips. She whispered quietly ,"I love you, babe.."
"more than anything else in this world?" With a smile, he joked.
"Yes, more than anything else in this world," she replied, pressing her lips against his.
